Our ministry is served by a dedicated and gifted Board of Directors. Our Directors do not receive compensation for serving; they in fact, are financially committed to the ministry. 

Faires Austin

Faires Austin who serves as the Dean of Students for Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, as well as being an Elder for the University church of Christ.

Chip Bennett

Chip Bennett is a graduate of Abilene Christian University. After graduation he played for the Cincinnati Bengals as a linebacker. When his football career was finished, he returned to the family ranch in Yoakum County Texas. He spent the next forty years farming and ranching. Chip and his wife Darla have recently retired in Abilene, Texas. They have five children and nine grandchildren. Southern Hills Church of Christ is their church home. Chip is involved in the singing ministry

Jim Carr

Dr. Carr is the Senior Vice President at Harding University, where he is responsible for the offices of Admissions Services, Financial Aid, American Studies Institute and the Walton Program. He has served the University for over 25 years. He and his wife, Susan, attend the College church of Christ in Searcy, Arkansas.

Malcolm Coco

After returning from the Air Force, Malcolm began teaching in the College of Business Administration at Abilene Christian University in 1991 while he currently holds the rank of professor of Human Resource Management. He has traveled to China, France, Japan, Canada, Mexico and England to study international business and human resource management. His research has been intensively presented and published nationally and internationally.

He provides volunteer consulting for a number of nonprofit organizations.

Malcolm currently serves as an elder of the Hillcrest Church of Christ, Abilene, Texas. 

Jim Creech

Jim received his education from Lipscomb University and Middle Tennessee State University. He began his work with Lipscomb University in May 1999 after having worked in Development with Herald of Truth ministries for eight years. Jim also served as pulpit minister for churches in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee for 29 years. He currently serves as Chaplain for the Stone Rivers Manor and as Pulpit Minister of the Vultee church of Christ.
He and his wife, Mary, live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Wes Cunningham

Wes Cunningham has been employed by the Sears Holdings Corporation for 41 years and current serves as Manager, Project Portfolio, where he is responsible for implementing business strategy for the Home Services Business through successful project management.

Cunningham has been married to his wife, Joyce, for 43 years and they live in Elgin, Illinois. They worship with the Cardinal Drive Church of Christ in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. He has served the congregation as an Elder for 19 years and is a frequent teacher in the Adult Bible Education ministry.

Doug Edwards

Doug Edwards who lives in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, serves as an Elder of the Chesmont church of Christ and is the Director of Advancement for Camp Manatawny, Delaware Valley Christian Camp.

Rick Elam

This graduate of Abilene Christian University with a degree in Marketing has spent the last 24 years working for the Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, PA. He is currently a Client Administration Manager in the Institutional Division.
He and his wife, Kathy, have three children. For 13 years Rick was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Coventry Christian Schools in Pottstown. Since 2005 he has been an elder at the Chesmont Church of Christ in Pottstown.

James McCoy

James McCoy is a Pharmacist and owner of multiple drug stores in Abilene, Texas, and serves the Oldham Lane church of Christ as an Elder.

Andy Starck

Andy Starck is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and now works as President/CEO of Starck Real Estate. He served in the Texas National Guard for six years. He and his wife Sharon, attend the Cardinal Church of Christ. They have two children and six grandchildren. He volunteers as a Cubmaster for boy scouts and also serves Hershy High School Booster club and High School District 214 Foundation. He was named ACU Distinguished Alumni in 1997/98.

Lynn Watson

A native of Rutherford County, Tennessee, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University and his doctor of jurisprudence degree from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.
Lynn served five years on the Board of Trustees of Middle Tennessee Christian School. In 1992, Lynn became the President of MTCS where he served for twenty years. In 2012 he returned to the practice of law, focusing on wills and estates and business organizations. He also began working with Thompson and Associates, a company that assists nonprofit organizations and their donors in charitable gift and estate planning.
Lynn is a member of the Rutherford-Cannon County and Tennessee Bar Associations and a graduate of Leadership Rutherford. He was one of the founders of Youth Leadership Rutherford. He has served on the board of Leadership Rutherford and the National Christian School Association and currently serves on the community board of Wilson Bank and Trust.
